Letter from Michael Roll to Dr Roger Berry, July 2, 2002

cfpf.org.uk

Dr Roger Berry has been MP for Kingswood (Bristol) since April 9, 1992.

2nd July 2002

Dr. Roger Berry MP
House of Commons
London
SW1A OAA

Dear Roger,

The enclosed letter from the Law Commission dated 1982 is now on my website - www.cfpf.org.uk - click on Correspondence and then the date 1982.

Because the Church and the state are still established in Great Britain neither the Conservative or the Labour Governments have taken action on this recommendation that the law of blasphemous libel is abolished. All the time the Church and the state are established, and this antiquated law remains in place, we are a theocracy and not a democracy. All the top positions are held by those who have used the Judaic-Christian ladder to get there. The press, radio, television, and most of all, education are owned or controlled by Christians and their allies who, working via the religious affairs departments, make sure the secular scientific case for survival after the death of our physical bodies never even comes to the attention of the British people. It's only possible for people to accept or reject something if they have access to it in the first place.

This censorship is completely against Article 19 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights which demands a balance of "opinion, information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

As you know before we can take this matter to the European Court of Human Rights all avenues must first be exhausted in our own country. In order to make us a free country would you please get the ball rolling by making a formal request to the Home Secretary to separate the Church from the state and to fall in line with the Law Commission's recommendation.

This is no longer such a radical request because I understand there is now a majority of opinion within the Anglo-Catholic Church to separate from the state and make us a free country.

Yours sincerely

Michael Roll

Comment by Michael Roll:

I have already had two successes in making the effort to take obscurants to The European Court of Human Rights. The First Article of War was altered. It's no longer compulsory for captains in the Royal Navy to indoctrinate the ranks under them with the Catholic Christian religion. Also Lord Chalfont and his committee on the Radio Authority removed the clauses that stopped us presenting the subject of survival after death as a branch of physics - that we are dealing with natural and normal forces in the universe.

As we are only fighting for a balance on media and educational outlets in what is meant to be a free country we have right on our side, a mighty powerful ally.

I am counting on every fighter for philosophical freedom in the UK sending this letter to their MP.
